Hi, I’m glad you’re here.
If you are seeking therapy, chances are you aren’t just looking for quick coping mechanisms or surface-level advice. You are likely looking for a space where you can finally make sense of your deepest patterns, heal old wounds, and feel truly at home in your own skin.
My name is Lauren Davis, and my approach to therapy is built on the belief that real healing requires inviting your entire Self into the room—your mind, history, relationships, and unique creative spirit—no parts left behind.
Healing isn't about fixing what is broken; it’s about reconnecting with the wholeness that has always been inside you.

My Philosophy: The Journey of Reclamation
I do not sit in the therapist’s chair as a detached observer. My commitment to this work is deeply informed by my own lived experience and my own path of reclamation. I know intimately what it takes to untangle yourself from systems and relationships that diminish your truth, and I bring that deep empathy into every session.
I provide a specialized, highly attuned space for individuals navigating:
Religious Trauma & Deconstruction
Having grown up in purity culture, I understand the profound work it takes to untangle yourself from rigid, shame-based systems. Deconstruction is a deeply personal process, and there is no single "correct" destination. Whether you are looking to safely dismantle harmful dogmas while redefining a healthier relationship to your Christian faith, exploring new spiritual paths, or stepping away from religion entirely, your journey is honored here. My own path of deconstruction eventually led me to choose and convert to Reform Judaism, so I know intimately the courage it takes to rewrite your relationship to faith, community, and your own autonomy.
A Safe Haven for the Jewish Community
While my practice warmly welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, faiths, and walks of life, I provide a dedicated, culturally affirming space for the Jewish community. I know how vital it is right now to have a therapeutic space where you don’t have to check your identity at the door. I am proud to hold a safe, non-judgmental space for Zionist Jews across the spectrum of observance. Here, you can process the unique anxieties, intergenerational trauma, and complexities of modern Jewish life without ever having to defend, explain, or justify your connection to your heritage or Israel.
Family of Origin Wounds _
I understand the unique ache of growing up too fast, feeling responsible for adults' emotions, and learning to set boundaries later in life. We will work together to break these cycles and build the secure, nurturing foundation you deserved from the start. Please visit my Resources page for a place to start.
My Approach & Our Work Together
Beyond the Therapy Room
My clinical practice is deeply holistic, integrative, and embodied. I combine an Attachment-Based Psychodynamic framework with Integrative Somatic practices and Expressive Arts Therapy. Together, we will look at how your past influences your present, how your mind and body work as one, and how creativity can bridge the gap when words aren't enough.
-
My foundation in this work is deeply clinical; I spent my three pre-licensure years training intensely at a specialized, somatic-based group practice. Because of this, I don't just use somatic tools as an add-on—they are foundational to how I track healing. We don’t just talk about your emotions; we pay attention to how your body and your creative spirit hold them. Stress, anxiety, and trauma live in our nervous systems as tension, fatigue, or a constant feeling of being "on edge." By incorporating body-awareness and expressive arts, we can bypass the logical brain to find safety, processing and releasing what words alone cannot change.
-
Humans are wired for connection, but our earliest relationships shape the "blueprints" for how we navigate the world today. Whether working with individuals or couples, I regularly pursue advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). Together, we will map out the reactive cycles that leave you feeling stuck or disconnected, helping you move out of defensiveness and into fierce, loving, and secure connections with yourself and others.
-
Your present-day behaviors and challenges often have deep, hidden roots. I have a particular interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Inner Child work. We will look at you not as a monolithic person, but as a beautiful ecosystem of different "parts." Together, we will gently meet the younger parts of you that are still carrying old wounds, burdens, or survival strategies, giving them the space to heal so you can live from your calm, confident, adult Self.
Creativity is not just my clinical tool; it is my heartbeat. When I am not working with clients, I am deeply embedded in the act of making - fiber arts, songwriting, music theatre performances, painting and pottery. I am the proud mother of a ferociously tender toddler, and wife to a loving husband.
I know firsthand that art, music, and performance are powerful acts of vulnerability, truth-telling, and healing. I bring that same creative, expressive energy into the therapeutic space, helping you find and reclaim your own authentic voice.
